The new Mercedes GLA SUV (pictured) has debuted at the Frankfurt Motor Show. Mercedes may not have been exactly overwhelmingly good at producing a compact car with the old A-Class, but the new A-Class is a very good little car, and it’s rapidly spawning more variants to mop up more sales. We’ve already got the new A-Class and the swoopy-coupe Mercedes CLA and now we get the compact SUV take on the A-Class – the new Mercedes GLA.
LEXUS is set to join the mid-size crossover fray when it launches the NX at the Beijing Motor Show later this month. The move could be a massive one for Lexus as it tests the water in what has become one of the fastest-growing and fiercest-fought market sectors of them all. This teaser shot is all that Lexus is willing to show of the new car before then, but the headlight shape is clearly inspired by the formidable LFA hypercar.
The last Jaguar XK – the Jaguar XK Dynamic R
The Jaguar XK is the oldest car in Jaguar’s model lineup and the last real remnant of ‘old’ Jaguar. And it’s about to cease production. Jaguar has announced the XK will end production this summer as sales fall away and the XK struggles to make sense against the new Jaguar F-Type, a situation that will only worsen when the F-Type Coupe starts to arrive in customer hands.
